I am predominantly a landscape photographer, concentrating on building a quality portfolio of images of the central and northern Lake District.
A few years ago I sold all my Canon gear and moved to Fujifilm, meaning I could carry an XT2 and lenses in a waist bag. However, I subsequently undermined all of this by buying a GFX 50S and I’m loving the detail and dynamic range, although not the weight.
I take an XT3 and travel tripod on long hikes, along with my DJI Mini4 drone.

I have just [2026] bought a Fujifilm X-H2S to take more wildlife photos as I will be retired from the classroom in July 2026.
I keep the Skelwith Bridge Hotel updated with photos, and in Dec 2021 I completed a 2 year project to supply the Three Shires Hotel with a chosen landscape photo for each of their 10 bedrooms named after the local peaks - please see below.
Dad and I used to stay regularly at both hotels.
As I revisit favourite locations, I am adding walks to the site to show where to experience similar views.
